Brooke Ferro – Instructor/Trainer
Originally from Somers, CT, Brooke has been riding for 17 years, and got her first horse, Ophelia, when she was 16 with the help of her mother and father Janet and B.J. Ferro. Ophie was only 2, and since then they have gone on to show competitively together throughout New England, including placing third at both Rhode Island and Connecticut Medal Finals. After showing for several years with trainers Armand and Martha Chenelle at Windcrest Farm in Hebron, CT, Brooke decided to follow her passion for instructing and training.
Although she still enjoys showing and bringing along green horses, her ability to lay a strong hunt seat foundation in her riders and give them the encouragement they need to move up to the next level continues to bring more and more students to her program. Brooke began teaching summer camp at 16 years old, and through the years has developed exceptional riding and training skills which she passes on to her students.
Brooke is a certified Equine Sports Massage Therapist as well. Brooke was certified by Equissage in 2004 and began massaging Thoroughbred race horses at Belmont Race Track on Long Island as well as a number of Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Dressage horses in New England. |
